Important Update on WeReachOut 2013 Sponsorship

Greetings to you all!
We have made very good progress in 2012 and it’s time to share some of the updates we feel worth sharing with you all towards our 2013 sponsorship. We received several new sponsorship requests from our recent 10th and +2 grade exam results last month (June 2013) and identified the following list of well deserving students for sponsorship this year. Some of our new students have scored very good marks in their 10th and +2 public exams, we have Six high school students scored more than 1000 marks out of the total 1200 and Ten 10th grade students scored more than 400 out of the total 500 in their public exam and looking for new sponsorship this year. We also have 45 old students eligible for sponsorship from your previous sponsorships.
All our new students’ details are available on our website at http://www.wereachout.org/StudentsInNeed.aspx for sponsorship. For privacy and other reasons, we are not displaying students’ personal information/pictures on our website for public. Please login to our website to view the complete detail if you are interested in knowing more about these students to decide your sponsorship.
For Sponsors: Thank you for making a difference in your students lives, please login to your account and check the “My Home à My Students” section to see all the students eligible for sponsorship this year (2013) from previous sponsorships, you can also find the approximate total amount required in this page to make your donation and continue your sponsorship. These students are still in need from our assessment and their details are available only to you the sponsor and not available for public under the Student-In-Need page on our website to find new sponsorships for now. There is a Discontinue button next to each student waiting for your sponsorship if you are not interested in continuing your sponsorships to any of your students this year. All your discontinued students eligible for 2013 sponsorship will be available in our Student-In-Need page to find new sponsors. So please review your students progress/updates and help us continue our sponsorships to these students with your decision. The “My Sponsorship History” section in this page will have the list of students you sponsored until now, you can also select new students from our Student-In-Need page or identify students of your own through your local contacts to add new students into your sponsorship. Please review your sponsorships and let us know if you have any questions/concerns or suggestions for any improvements in our services.
Admin Team Update:
We have updated our admin team with our long-term supporters/contributors to make this program accessible to more well wishers going forward.

(Bala is a software engineer, my UG classmate, living in Indianapolis with family, believes in WeReachOut educational sponsorship program and interested in promoting its services to reach more students through his network)
2. Jerry Louis - Corporate Grants
(Jerry is one of our core team members since the beginning of WeReachOut, brought several grants from eBay to reach out to more well deserving students in the past. He will be assisting our members/sponsors to apply for corporate grants in their organizations if it’s available. Please let us know if you come across an opportunity for corporate grants in your organization and Jerry will be happy to assist you in the application process to reach more students)
3. Johnson Paul - Fundraising and Development
(Johnson is our long-term supporter and contributor to this reach out program in many ways, he will be joining our admin team to help us make this platform serve more deserving students through various fundraising and other development activities)
Are we making a difference?
We would like to share one of our experiences in reaching out to a well deserving students by going little extra mile to show our support and how it makes a difference on both side (student and sponsor). We have received a sponsorship request from a 10th grade student (STU 374 – R.Jeeva) last year (2012) for Rs 2500 (our finalized amount for middle school students) with a goal to score more than 460 out of 500 in his public exam and ambition to become an IAS officer in future, one of our sponsors (SPO 72 – Mr.Gabriel) sponsored this student from our Students-In-Need page and asked us to give Rs 5000 instead of Rs 2500 to address all his educational needs. Last month, we received his 10th grade scores from the public exam and he scored 492/500.
We are truly inspired by this kind of positive responses from some of our students in this journey and we are committed to serve our best in every possible ways we can to reach more deserving students like him with all your support as we move forward. I’m sure our sponsor’s investments towards their student’s education is making a difference and helping them to become socially responsible members/leaders of our society.

Volunteers Needed:
1. Social Media Admin (Facebook) - We are looking for WeReachOut Group Admins to manage and promote WeReachOut services through social networks like Facebook.
2. Event Organizer (Promotional/Fundraising): Ramkumar, Sasi and Johnson are planning to organize a volleyball tournament/social event to raise funds for new sponsorships and we are looking for volunteers to make it successful.
Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering any of these areas and we will be happy to get in touch with you to plan these events.

c) Sponsor a student from our Students-In-Need page or help us reach our financial goal of $10,000 for this year’s sponsorship with whatever donation you can make. All your contributions are 100% tax deductible and 100% of your contribution will be given to your students without any deduction for our operational expenses.
