WeReachOut India Meeting on 31st December 2010 at Nagercoil

Dear Friends,

We had our first WeReachOut India meeting with our students and volunteers on 31st December 2010 at Beschi Auditorium, at Thalavaipuram in Nagercoil.

The meeting started at 10.30 a.m. with the prayer dance by two students. Mr. Pathrose submitted the report. Thirty five people including some of the parents and students from Nagercoil and Tirunelveli participated in the meeting.

Mr. David Appatthurai welcomed all and shared his input to encourage students to provide their updates on time and study well.

Mr. Masillamani, who received the National Presidential Award in the 80s and the Kalaimamani Award in 2009 presided the meeting and delivered his inspirational address. In his address he shared his difficulties and hardships he experienced before being recognized by the society. His address motivated and encouraged the students to study well and respond to the demands of the society. His address also stressed the point that “success would not come to us but we have to march towards that”.

Richard shared his experiences and encouraged all the participants. He also insisted the students in getting involved in some social activities like helping the poor, senior citizens etc.

Fr. Stanislaus delivered the motivational talk and explained the aims and missions of WRO in an impressive way.

The mother of Pebin Kala, Jebin Paul, Students Praveena Ruby and Subi Cruz expressed their gratitude and thanked WRO for playing a major role in their education. They also promised to spread the news about WRO and respond to WRO’s mission.

Mr. Pathrose thanked and requested all to share their experience with their neighbors.

Mr. David Appathurai expressed his concerns about the growth of WRO. He also stressed to have such meetings occasionally.

The meeting ended at around 12.30 p.m. with tea and some snacks to all the participants.

Overall it was a wonderful gathering with so much energy and support to make this reach out program beneficial to mare deserving student across India.
